SAFETY QUIZ RAISES £460 FOR MENINGITIS TRUST
The event at the Wellington Park Hotel in Belfast raised a huge 460. The Safety Group chose to donate the proceeds from the ballot to the Meningitis Trust after a members mother contracted the disease a year ago. The money raised will be used to provide practical and emotional support to families and individuals across Northern Ireland, whose lives have been shattered by meningitis. The afternoon began with a power-point presentation by Station Commander Joyce during which he advised those present of the work of the team and the equipment available to them.
