We’ve won a major award
NI Safety Group have walked away with a prestigious Gold in this year’s Safety Groups UK Excellence Awards. These are presented in recognition of excellence amongst Health & Safety Groups UK wide.
Ferociously competitive amongst the 80 odd Safety Groups this year’s Awards centred not on a programme of events and activities (which is the normal criteria) but on what was the one thing that your Group was most proud of over the last year. The Award entries are submitted in January and covered 2021.
Our entry titled ‘Communications and Collaboration Initiative’ concentrated on the outworking of our communications during the pandemic and the many benefits gained by working in partnership with other organisations to deliver this.
This was so successful that working in collaboration with other organisations is now a central tenant of our offering to members and beyond.
Congratulations go to the other Gold Award winners.
- Hereford Health and Safety Group;
- South Cumbria Occupational Health and Safety Group;
- South and West Wales Safety Group
We now go forward next Monday to see if we can win the much-coveted Alan Butler Award. This is awarded to the best entry overall and would be a great accolade for us to win.
Coming top of all the UK safety groups is an honour for all the hard work put in by committee members and our our membership (and beyond) who give us great support.
Wish us luck.
