NISG Vice President Appointed

NISG are pleased to announce the appointment of Heather McKinstry to the new role of Vice President of NISG following election at the 2024 AGM yesterday. She was Chair of the organisation in the period 1997 to 1999 and has over 30 years of service on the NISG Executive Committee, recognised at the recent NISG 70th Anniversary Gala Dinner.

The position of Vice President has been added to the list of Executive Committee Officers due to the growth of the organisation and its activites, with the Committee recognising the need for another senior role. The role was created a number of years ago, and is enshrined in the Constitution, but has not been filled until now due to the Covid pandemic.

Heather will provide support to President, Wilson Lambe, in leading the Executive Committee and promoting the charity and all of its activites. She was congratulated on her election by Chair, Wendy Beatty, and received a round of applause from the AGM attendees as she accepted the position.
