NISG August 2026 Group Meeting
Join us for our August Group Meeting which will feature Dr. Nigel McConnell from Ulster University presenting on the topic of “From Alarms to Action: Understanding Human Behaviour in Fire”.
This presentation will explore how people respond to fire alarms and emergencies, challenging assumptions about evacuation, panic, exit use and predictable behaviour. Attendees will hear how communication, social influence, risk perception, familiarity, signage and occupant diversity shape evacuation, and what this means for improving emergency planning and fire safety management.
As always networking time is available both before and after the meeting.
Who should attend:
- Personnel from NISG Member Companies, including HSEQ, HR and General Management;
- Those who are considering becoming NISG members.
- Training organisations, manufacturers and those who offer health and safety services including H&S Consultants;
- Small business owners and managers with H&S duties and responsibilities.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO JULY GROUP MEETING DUE TO THE SUMMER HOLIDAY PERIOD. YOU CAN CATCH UP WITH US AT THE SUMMER'S FARM SHOWS - DETAILS OF WHERE WE WILL BE ATTENDING ARE LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE.
