New smoking in private vehicles regulations
From 1 February 2022, it will be illegal to smoke in an enclosed private vehicle when:
- children and young people aged under 18 are in the vehicle
- there is more than one person in the vehicle.
It will also be an offence for a driver not to prevent smoking.
