IOSH NI Branch - Quiz the perceptions of health and safety
IOSH has launched a new online quiz to help members in Northern Ireland challenge and change perceptions of health and safety. The ‘Save a million’ quiz is designed to help members get a more positive, finance-focused message across. It’s directly related to the key message of IOSH’s Li£e Savings campaign: good health and safety management can save money as well as lives.
Said Caroline Patel, Head of Campaigns and Creative at IOSH: “It’s all about turning age-old – often negative – perceptions around. The interactive quiz can be used as an ‘ice breaker’ at the start of a meeting or pitch, to make the point in a light-hearted way during a training session, or to get senior managers thinking differently about the issues at the start of a business case presentation.”

The quiz consists of six questions which cover topics from how much accidents and ill health cost the UK economy as a whole to the expense of working days lost to mental illness in Northern Ireland. To access the free ‘Save a million’ quiz, go to the Li£e Savings microsite, and click the resources page. The quiz comes with a guide giving full instructions, the answers to the questions, and a brief background to each answer.
