VIBRATION AT WORK (and the associated health risks)

Nancy Henry is HSENI's lead Inspector on vibration.

Nancy will outline the current issues surrounding vibration from an occupational health viewpoint as well as the steps necessary to insure legislative compliance, specifically looking at:-

• Vascular, neurological and musculoskeletal concerns
• The role that Health Surveillance plays
• Trigger points for action levels
• How to assess the risk and introducing control measures

Edel Farren (Physiotherapist) will also be in attendance to outline HSENI's new free advisory service on musculoskeletal disorders.
