Hearing Conservation Seminar

Over one million employees in Great Britain are exposed to levels of noise that could damage their hearing.

Around 170,000 of these are believed to suffer deafness, tinnitus or other hearing conditions as a result of exposure to excessive noise at work.

This seminar will look at noise levels in the workplace, the effects of noise-induced hearing loss (including audio demonstrations of the effects), UK legislation and EC directives, control measures, creating a noise control programme, evaluating noise reduction, the pros and cons of different protection (as well as the issues caused by over protection) and how to motivate employees to participate in a hearing conservation programme.

This is a great opportunity for the Safety Group to host such prolific speaker and we thank Brad Witt for coming all the way from San Diego USA to speak on a topic that he is world renowned for.
