Professor John Anderson will look at the statistics behind cardiac arrest, the history and development of portable defibrillation, why public access is important, the benefits of using these systems both within and beyond a workplace and the training required.

Professor Anderson was part of the original team to invent the first mobile defibrillation in the RVH in the 60’s
