Wilson has been a member of the Executive Committee since 1966 and became President of the Group in 1994. He is very active in IOSH matters and was National President of the Institution in 1998. He is currently a member of the IOSH Council and Chairs the Audit and Risk Management Committee. He retired from the Construction Employers Federation in 2002 having been their Health and Safety Manager since 1979. Wilson is now a Consultant Charted Safety and Health Practitioner.

Nicky has been on the Executive Committee for over 10 years and held the role of PR for over 6 years. She is currently employed by the Bank of Ireland as Health & Safety Manager and has been in the H&S field since graduating from University. She also holds a position on the Executive Occupational Health and Safety Committee of the Irish Business Employers Confederation (IBEC).

Tom is the Group Health Safety and Environment Manager – Balcas Group of Companies. He has been a member of the Executive Committee for six years
Public Relations Officer
Jim Leitch BSc (Hons) MBA MA CMIOSH FCIPD
Jim has served on the Executive Committee for ten years and is a past Chairman. Since graduating with his primary degree he has been employed by Northstone (NI) Limited (part of building materials group, CRH plc.), formerly the Farrans Limited Group. During this time he has held a number of posts in the Company and has been involved in health and safety since 1988. Jim is currently the Human Resources Director. His responsibilities include reporting to the Northstone board on health and safety as well as environmental matters."
Jim Pow BEM BA (Hons)
Jim has served on the Executive Committee for a number of years. He is currently employed by Clanmil Housing as the Communications and Health and Safety Advisor. Jim is responsible for all internal and external communications which includes all marketing and public relations activities. He is also responsible for all health and safety management systems and has successfully completed his NEBOSH Diploma Pt I.
Heather McKinstry MSSc CMIOSH
Heather is employed as the Environment, Health, Safety Officer for Gallaher Ltd, Ballymena. She has worked in the Safety profession since 1990, initially in the Research and Development Division and since 1997, in the Production Division. She has been a committee member for that time and was Chair of the group from 1996 until 1999.
Priscilla Woods BSc Hons MIOSH Dip2OSH
Priscilla has been a member of the Executive Committee for five years. She is employed as the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager for Schrader Electronics Ltd and has been working in the HSE/Quality field for nine years since leaving University.
Nicola Ward CMIOSH ICIOB Dip2.OSH RSP
Nicola has been a member of the Executive Committee for over ten years and is a Past Chairman. She is employed as Health & Safety Manager for Lagan Construction and has been working in H&S since leaving university.
David Cooke MIOSH AMCMI
David is employed as a Safety Officer within Northern Ireland Electricity and has been working in the health and safety for 12 years. He has served on the Executive Committee for over ten years and was Chair of the Group from 2002 to 2003.
Brian Walker MBE MISOH DIPSM DIPRSA
Brian is a former Chairman of the NISG. He worked for the Construction Industry Training Board for 31 years where he was responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of the CITB’s Health & Safety Training Programme. He was awarded the MBE in 2003 for his services to Health & Safety in the Construction Industry in Northern Ireland.
John Gordon MBE MIOSH
John joined the Group in 1967 and was Minutes Secretary from 1975 until 1980 and was then Group Secretary for six years from 1987. John has held a number of health and safety posts and has a particular interest in agricultural safety. John was awarded the MBE in 1994

Ernie Spence
Ernie Spence has served on the committee since 1997. Until recently he worked as Business Centre Manager at Orchardville Business Centre, Belfast a project for people with learning disabilities providing training and work experience in an office environment for young people wishing to pursue this type of career. His interest in health & safety came from realising that extra care is needed when working with vulnerable people. After standing in for the Group's previous Secretary he officially moved into the post in January 2008.
