For
47 years the Northern Ireland Safety Group
(NISG) has been promoting Safety in the
Workplace. The NISG is run by dedicated
Safety Professionals, each from varied
industrial backgrounds, voluntarily giving
up time to present an array of Safety
events.

Aims:
To promote
interest and continuous improvement
in accident prevention in both
the public, private and voluntary
sectors and to further develop
the interest of members in the
study and application of best
practice methods in reducing
the frequency and severity of
work related accidents and cases
of ill health.
To enlist the
goodwill, active interest and
co-operation of the management
and employees in organisations
who, by working together in
partnership, can improve overall
standards of health and safety.
To disseminate
relevant and timely health and
safety related information to
members and others.
To assist in the
design, deliver and provide
advice as required to members
and others, in relation to appropriate
health and safety training courses.
This includes, but will not
be limited to the delivery of
school safety awareness seminars,
conferences and seminars as
well as working in partnership
with other relevant bodies such
as training organisations, universities,
colleges and schools, trades
unions and safety consultants.
To provide information
on health and safety to members
and others as required.
To actively
promote health and safety awareness
amongst senior school pupils
to prepare them for the world
of work.
